A fresh Reading List guides the reader towards further study. He was the second of four children and attended Westminster School. He began his storytelling career with his children. He would tell them a story after dinner that would last an hour or two and continue to the next day. Some of his stories would even last two weeks!
After watching Henty interact with this children during story time, a friend of his suggested he write his stories. Henty went on to became a war correspondent after his wife and two of his children died of tuberculous.
Eventually, he published Out of Pampas in ; it was his first break aimed at a juvenile audience. Henty was a true Christian of good character. He lived his life of Christian standards and values and his characters represented what he believed. Henty went on to publish books and numerous short stories for magazines.
Although the books were not in chronological order when I received them, I compiled a list that the set easy to use. These books are excellent for homeschoolers.
